Sure, until late into our 20s, we used them almost exclusively to fasten chip bags, but still—there was no denying the security of the spring-loaded grip. Now, as we hustle baskets of wet laundry outside to capture rays of sunshine and blasts of fresh air whenever possible, these classic wooden clothespins are kept close at hand. Naturally drying clothes saves on energy and can extend the wear-life of a wardrobe, especially for go-to pieces like daily denim, chic cardigans, and vintage band T-shirts. So stick with a classic. And with a pack of 100, you’ll probably have plenty to keep in the pantry for chip bags.

There are terrific clothes pin. It get nostalgic everything I use them. They last a surprisingly longtime, and they’re cooler with age. If you’ve got a clothesline, they make the perfect accessory. I find that spiders love them too, though that part is bit of nuisance Plastic clothespins work well too, but they just don’t have the character.

These fit the description. They are sturdy and the springs work well. We use them on both cloth and coated wire lines.

Great price for the number included. Good grip of closing the clip and very easy to use. Don't leave out in the rain though because the wood gets soft and they break pretty easy.

Fortunately cheap enough and come in a pack of 100. Couple were broken in the package. They are light weight. Feels like they could break easily. Bought these to clip a small nursery pot onto a bigger pot for my strawberry runners. Have to use thin walled pots to have it work as I need.

I use these wooden clothes pins for chip clips. And these particular clothes pins are really good. They are long and the pinch is strong. In fact, they are the strongest wooden clothes pins I've purchased in years. Fully recommend these no matter what your use! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,000 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 25,000 likes. Bottom line, I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

Cheer squad used these to make spirit pins to give out at cheer competitions. They take paint easily and were simple to hot glue decorations on.

The length of them with a good strong spring is what I was looking for. I would buy them again, except they will last a dozen years or more.

I thing the pegs should work just fine for hobby work. However I use them for cloth hanging. For that they are of inferior quality. The problems lies in the spring where material was skipped by spacing out the turns of the spring steel. This means that the peg easily comes apart if lateral pressure is applied eg. when the thoumb and fingers pinching the peg are not perfectly lined up. A problem that could easily be fixed by using a tighter spring "like in the old days".
