All the pieces fit well. looks like it will last for awhile. Even supply the tubing and clip for the unit. A little pricy compared to the generic ones, but it sure made installation a snap.

This is the perfect match for my Honeywell 260A Humidifier. However, i bought this exact kit maybe two years ago. And another 2 years before that on amazon. They have only lasted about 2 years. So yes, it works great. Easy to swap too. But hard to rate the value for your money area. I would hope they would last a few years. Each time they start sticking and eventually the valve just won't close. Sticks open. I don't see how i can open them up to clean so your forced to buy new. It's easy enough to change, just a little annoying to spend that much on a kit every 2 years. And they have went way up in price like everything else. Probably double from what i spent two years ago.

The solenoid on my humidifier had previously been replaced with a universal one that recently failed. This solenoid lined right up and included the hose and clip that routes water to the distribution tray.Installation was about 15 minutes from start to finish. Turn off the water, disconnect the old, install the new, hook up 2 wires, 1 outlet hose, and the inlet hose, and turn the water back on. I cut about an inch off the copper inlet hose (where the old compression fitting was) so knew I'd have a clean surface for the new compression fitting and have had no leaks.Good product that installs easily. No complaints here.

The valve on my whole house humidifier was stuck open after only 2 winters of use and this replacement got it back to normal operation. It is a bit pricey, at almost half of what the whole unit costs.

This is the exact replacement solenoid for my furnace mounted humidifier but I dare say it looks better made than the original. It looks like this one is built to last for quite a while. And I like that fact that it was cheaper to purchase here on Amazon than it was listed on Honeywell's website. I am very pleased with the quality, and the price. And not to mention how super easy it was to install. I had the old one off, installed the new one and had it working in about 15 minutes.UPDATE: It is now April 4, 2015 and I had to shut the water supply to my humidifier off. The solenoid is not closing completely and is allowing water to run continuously 24/7 nonstop. This is a replacement to the original one and now I need to order another one, which will make the third solenoid for this humidifier. At $80-$90 a pop, I just don't want to keep having to order this stupid part if it is only going to last 1 1/2-2 seasons. And I will also add to this update that this solenoid is so noisy compared to the original one. It makes a loud clack when turning on and again when turning off. And I had to turn the water supply way down because the solenoid was allowing the full amount of water into the humidifier causing it to overflow. You would think there would be some kind of limiter built into this solenoid to cut down on the amount of water going into the humidifier but it just seems to be wide open.

Part is quite easy to install, I only needed a flat screwdriver and a 1/2" wrench. Unfortunately, I am only getting about 4 years out of one of these before they die. The last one got stuck in the open position causing the humidifier to run at maximum all the time which led to excessive humidity in the house and a major condensation problem on the windows during a cold snap. The price is also up quite significantly from the last time I bought one 4 yrs ago.

Sadly, the ORIGINAL one I got with the humidifier was DOA out of the box. After a couple years of running the humidifier water constantly, I got this and had it installed. Worked as it should.
