These hold tight on the line where you place them. Have used then from 1 ounce to four ounces.

How about these for my planer boards they work really well hard to find these kind of clips without the center post. They do have the center post I just clip the line in front of it wish they sold them without the center post

I use them for snap weights. I personally haven't lost any that I snapped on. Ppl in the boat have had a few come off while fighting a fish but I believe they didn't get past the pin on them. Women have a little trouble squeezing them hard enough.

This is an updated review. These snaps worked well for a few uses and then the clamping pads became like ice, very slippery, so that it wouldn't squeeze the fishing line sufficiently to stay put on the line, they just slide up and down the line, making them useless. Junk.

Great clips for trolling weight. Put together a snap weight kit for trolling crankbaits for deep wayer walleye. No issues so far.

The clips have so much tension they're basically impossible to open, while at the same time having so little grip that they can't stay in place on fishing line.Would give negative stars if possible.
