Needed some cheap but functional binos for my younger kids. So we bought two pairs of these. They needed to actually work to spot animals with (so they could participate) but not be expensive enough that I was going to be sick WHEN they were dropped or banged on objects inadvertently. These fit the bill perfectly. The glass is clear and crisp. They are easy to adjust and use. And they fit kids faces nicely even down to my 6 year old. I was even able to use them and see clearly with my adult width face. And on top of all of this, they were dropped and knocked many times throughout the week and had no adverse effects. Meaning they are sturdy and robust enough that they will likely be in use for a long time to come.

Used my new binoculars yesterday while walking around the lake. Got to see a young species of heron (?) much more clearly that I could have without my new binoculars! It was very well concealed on the downed tree trunk, but I was able to see the bluish tinge on its beak and its beautiful orange eyes! I have used larger more powerful binoculars that my Dad paid much more $$$ for. But, for a small (wore the case on my belt) inexpensive pair, I am satisfied!Note: I wish vendors would make understanding the strength of magnification a lot easier for us uninformed types!!

These Hontry binoculars are light weight and compact, but seem very solid and well made. They adjust to match the width of your face and two separate lense adjustments allow the lenses to provide a crisp, clear view, even in fairly dim light, but not in darkness. These binoculars should work great for concerts, sporting events, and casual bird watching, and they should easily fit in your car's glove box. They come with a strap, cleaning cloth, and easy to understand instructions in English. They also come with a case that resembles thin neoprene and seems well-sewn and in somewhat sturdier than the cases that came with some other binoculars I've ordered online. The case has a large front flap that's secured by a velcro strip. The best thing, in my opinion, is that a loop on the back of the case lets you carry these binoculars on your belt. That makes them great to take along when hiking, backpacking, or just walking your dog around the neighborhood.I live in an area renowned for its bird life, and these binoculars seem like the perfect size and weight for keeping handy on my belt any time I'm outdoors, in case I happen to spot a bird, animal, or anything else that deserves a closer look.

Great viewing capability and solid product! I bought these to travel to Iceland and I didn’t want to lug around my larger more expensive brand. These are super clear and easy to use. I’m excited to use them and will update after my trip. So far, very impressed.

Bought these for myself sister, she likes how durable they are (a little bigger than she wanted). Her eyes are a bit closer together and she wears glasses, and she wishes that she could have adjusted them a bit closer for her eyes. But other than that she likes them!

Okay, so here's my quasi scientific, slightly shaky review. I was motivated to write this because these are seriously a great buy, but the 10x mag seems to be a fantasy. My method was to focus on the church and then put my phone camera to the eyepiece and try to hold it all steady. I think the photos do a reasonable job of indicating magnification, field of view, and general image brightness/sharpness. But don't get hung up on blur etc towards the edges as this is more a factor of me trying to align and hold the camera to the eyepiece. I tried to centre on the rain spout. Hopefully the full size images, including my reference codes, will be displayed when you click on them. The Hontry (Hontry 10x25) is compact, light, quick to focus and easy to do so with one finger, and provides a bright, colourful image. I'd say it's mag factor is closer to 8 (compare with the Hawke 8x25 - H 8x25 photo). It may even be slightly less than 8 (judging by eye). I've had the Hawke several years now and I think they were something like 5x the price. The focusing is also a tad stiff, making it a little awkward to do so with one hand. I had a couple of old 10x mag binoculars to hand: my ancient Chinon 10x50 (AC 10x50 photo) and my dad's old, little Vivitar (OV 10x25 photo). These are good comparisons showing the Hontry seems nowhere near the 10x mag. My ancient Chinon is a beast. Honestly, it's the last thing you'd want dangling from your neck whilst out walking. The old Vivitar is small and light but the image is, frankly, somewhat blurry and dull.I bought my first of these Hontrys to let my 2.5 year old son play with because he'd discovered my dad's old Vivitar and wouldn't put it down. But I found the Hontry image so bright and clear that I've let my son keep playing with the Vivitar! Yes, the 10x claim seems utter fabrication, but for bird and wildlife watching out on the move, and something that you can easily slip in a pocket, it's great. Bear in mind magnification is useless if an image is blurry. I first bought two; one for my son and one for my elderly mum. As I've said, I ended up "keeping" the Hontry for myself. I think at around £20 each, they're a steal. Soon after I managed to pick up another for around £19. At these prices, for something around 8x mag that's easy to carry and provides bright, sharp images, this is seriously a great commodity binocular that you can take anywhere and aren't afraid to. Keep one in the car glovebox, in the shed, at your mistress's...
