I ordered the Zekzoop Hood Protector for my 2024 Toyota Tacoma because I started to notice some small nicks from rocks on the road on my hood. I was surprised when it arrived in a small envelope, all folded up. I laid it out to let it unwrinkle, then went to put it on my truck. That's when I realized I had to trim it to fit exactly. I tried to make it work to see how it would look, but the edges tended to stick up a bit. Although I believe it would do the job, I'm not a fan of how it looks. I’m giving it 3 stars because it likely works as intended, but I’m just not satisfied with the appearance.

These do not attach to the hood with anything other than tape. The product was shipped in a small box, rolled up into a very compact manner. Some of the tape backing came off when I tried to unroll it. I imagine this product blowing off and hitting my windshield while driving down the road. I flattened it out on the floor in front of the fireplace and put some weights on it in attempt to flatten (unroll) it. I am going to have to wait for warmer weather, a heat gun, a heated garage, or maybe even some sunshine before I will be able to tape this to my hood. First impression, I am very doubtful.

We have come a long way since the car bras and red plastic bug guards. But we love hood protectors and this is the latest style. It is easy to install on a sunny day. I noticed that installing on center does not guarantee equal lengths to left and right. Good value. Nice looking. Resists scratches. Built strong.

Using a hair dryer to improve adhesion of the double-sided tape in cold temperatures was a helpful tip.
