Works well if you press your eye into it hard enough. If you don’t, your view will be slightly vignetted.

I swear by these for my Z9 and another Hoodman model for my D6. So much better than the stock eye piece in that it provides some cushion and prevents glare.

Fell apart after 11 days in the field. It’s great while it works but for this quality it needs to be priced at a disposable price.Beware you will need to replace so hang onto your Nikon DK-33 as you’ll need it at some point.

Love this eyecup on my Z8! It's made so well, not flimsy at all, rotates easily around the view finder for portrait/landscape orientation. I've had cheap eye cups in the past that were flimsy and would get distorted in a case....this one feels like it will last the life of the camera!

Excellent product. Fits and works great as advertised. Tried a knock-off version and returned it immediately. Buying another Eye cup for my new Nikon Z8. I've used Hoodman for almost 20 years of digital photography (first:screen saver on my Nikon D1X - Recently sold the camera with the Hoodman in place)

The eyecup fits as described and should help exclude stray light during outdoor shoots. It seems to be designed for use with the right eye and I’m still trying to figure out how to use it with the left eye.

If you have trouble with bright sun and outdoor wind/rain/etc. These eyecups are great.
