From its over-sized design, which seals out ambient light, to its rotating nature that accommodates right or left eyed shooters, this eyecup ensures that the Sony Alpha a7, a7R, a7S, and a7 II shooter can get their shot with ease. The self locking mount slides over the eyepiece mounting rails, keeping the cup in place. Additionally, the hypoallergenic silicon keeps irritation at bay for hours of comfortable shooting.

Eyepiece fits snug and makes the A7S II much easier and more comfortable to use. The eye piece by hoodman makes seeing in the bright sunlight easier. The sensor for switching from screen to eye piece is still open and works like a charm. Overall a great product.

I was looking forward to using this as I had seen folks on YouTube and elsewhere talk about the benefits of an after-market eyecup and specifically I was excited to find one designed with glasses wearers in mind. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed upon trying the product out the first time. The cup itself doesn't wrap around enough to provide really any benefit, and the opening was too small resulting in part of the frame chopped off when viewing the EVF. I could see most of the frame itself, but could only see the top or bottom row of information at any time which would just result in delayed or missed shots. I'm returning it.

Much better than the original eye cup. Should have replaced that by the hoodman thing as soon as I have the camera. Works great, and it holds tight to the eyepiece, won't accidentally knock it off easily. And it uses high grade rubber, not those stinky rubber used on some cheap replacements.

Yes, I'm going to confirm that for the Sony Alpha A77II that the hoodman will not allow you to open the LCD due to the size of the eyecup. Now if you want to open the LCD screen on the back of your camera, then I will recommend that you will have to take it off and put it back on. Now is that a big deal with some people? NO and Yes, but for me NOT a big deal at all. The quality on the other hand is good but I have tested better and it seem a bit too flexible but then again that is good for the eye because you don't want to have some torublesome issues with your eye, do you? NOIt's easy to put on and easy to take off and it does block out light from the eye so you can see better when doing portraits, nature, macro, and more. For the price is bit concerning for some but let's see how long it last first to determine that price value. Keep in mind that this wasn't design for the A-mount Cameras but only for the A7 series Cameras so man up or lady up.ProsGood and fit wellNice of soft

I wear glasses and thought that this eyecup would provide a better fit for my viewfinder. Well, I was wrong. I cannot see the entire viewfinder when I look through my eyecup and find myself shifting to see all of the sides in my scene. That really doesn't work for me not to mention the time it takes to spin my head around to figure out whether my composition is what I want. Bad choice on my part.

It's nice.. but I can't see a good portion of my screen unless I have it against my face juuuust right.. I also had a huge mishap because of it this weekend. Because I can't see the "record" or "standby" part of the screen, I thought I was recording during a key moment of the event I just covered, and I wasn't. The visual cue was not visible, and during a stressful run and gun type situation, you don't have time to second guess and double check certain things. You have to trust your gear, and rely on the visual cues and what you know.Lesson learned. Now I will always double check.Oh and I have an a7sii

Works great, and you can flip it back and forth for your left or right eye easily. The cup holds its shape despite being crammed in my case, but at the same time it's soft so you can feel safe smash it to your face when you need to act quickly to get the shot. Would recommend to friends. For videographers using a Rodemic, you might have to take the mic off to get the eyepiece on or off, but once it's on you don't have to worry about it.

Went on easy. Seems to stay on just fine. Does what it is supposed to blocking out the light. Like that I can swivel it to work perfectly in different situations. Nice and soft against my skin. I don’t seem to have an issue like others on not seeing the corners of the viewfinder. I’m not wearing glasses when I use it and I can see that that might be an issue if I were. Also the back screen flips out just fine. Not sure why it was a problem for others. I really like it and only wish I had gotten sooner. I use it on my Sony a7lll mostly for wildlife photography and some landscapes.

Bought this after I started wearing glasses full time - and it works brilliantly. At the time it seemed expensive for what it is but, apart from meaning I can position my eye perfectly - with specs - to see through the viewfinder, it is also robust - and stays put! So many lesser eye cups in the past have fallen off and been lost for ever...

El caucho de protección no gira de manera fluida, enganchandose en todo el recorrido. No reune las condiciones para un flujo de trabajo correcto. No se puede perder el tiempo peleando con el visor en medio de una sesión cuando se pasa de horizontal a vertical. Producto devuelto.
