This Fryer worked as expected. Everything showed up in good condition. These can be bought at walmart around thanksgiving for $50 but does not come with the 10 Qt items. Everything bolted together nicely, yes you have to put this base together. Flame on the first couple of uses would burn a little bit of the black paint off the stand causing an off smell to be made but did not effect the use of this fryer.

I was pleased with the assembly and operation. Gotta watch the temperature though. 325 for a turkey 4 mins or less per pound. I finished a 16 lb turkey at around 45 mins. I thought it was gonna take 64 mins. Family loved the turkey. Now I gotta make one for Christmas too.

For the price... This is tough to beat. The metal is a touch flimsy, but not to a poin I am concerned. The lid could be a bit more solid. Worked like a champ and kept the temp steady even while frying outside in the cold.

So the pots are aluminum pots .The burner works as it should. So A++++But and it’s a HUGE BUT!!!!!!!!The oil thermometer is trash through it away it’s actually supper dangerous !!!!!!!mine showed 80 degrees lower than actual temperature (I checked with a infrared gun) so in short if I trusted the thermometer provided Instead of 350 degrees I would have put the bird in at 430 and that’s a splash & flash fire hazard.Its not a bad kit just make sure you buy a high quality oil thermometer or infrared gun.
