This kit has almost everything you need to install a brake controller. I also bought a pigtail to allow me easy remove the brake controller and a 30 amp auto reset breaker instead of using the included fuse to ensure things can reset without having to pop the hood. Hardest part was crawling under the car and pulling the wire.

Gave most of what I wanted, there were some things missing, but that was more to do with the model controller I was installing. Like Auto-Resent Circuit Breakers, and extra Rings. So I don't hold that against the rating, but it is something that should be noted when installing.The biggest downfall is that there wasn't enough black wire to run from the plug, through the frame, up to the battery. Let alone no black wire left to run from the controller to the battery. There was enough extra wire of the other colors to piece it together and make it work, but that shouldn't be necessary. Not sure why the Black wire is not the same length as the blue wire used for the brake controller to plug. There was more than enough of that, to the point that it's what I used to finish the connection of the plug to the Battery, and had to use spare white to run the power from the controller to the battery.

If your vehicle isn't equipped with a trailer brake controller, then you need this kit. I installed this kit on my '92 Dodge Dakota 2wd V8 to accommodate my dual axle car trailer with electric brakes. Installation was time consuming but not super difficult and provides most everything you will need. The only thing I did differently was use a 20A circuit breaker instead of the 20A fused link for safety reasons.

This kit 100% tested my -10 knowledge of rewiring and ZERO ability to withstand mental stress DUE to the rewire being on an 87' Dodge Van with quite a bit of UNDER DASH and UNDER hood with EXTREME space constraints. Overall a PERFECT combination if wiring and attachments.No photos posted.. Throws my back out trying to get camera angle

Good universal kit and simple to install.I do wish that they included breakers,but I'm guessing that the reason is that there are different recommended amperages.

Great kit. We had a b#gger of a time locating the correct hot break wire in a 98 Chevy Silverado as there is no room for your hands. Ended up finding a white wire in the harness which came from the brake switch and finished install. Kit is worth the price.

black and white wires are not enough, I had to add more when I installed the brake controller.
