I needed to change plugs on my truck to where it would be able to unplug at anytime incase I had to replace it or put a T in the line and it was super easy. It fit perfect with the one already installed so I just had to ride the plug in for it which took about 5 minutes to finish. It looks very good and works really good. Very handy having the 4 prong plug down below.

This unit looks and feels better built then the one that came on my 2009 silverado. Once I removed the factory unit and went to install the new one the mounting holes didn't match up but I had more then enough room to drill new holes in order to mount the new unit. All it took was a 3/16 inch drill bit. Overall install time was about 20 minutes and the new unit looks way better then the factory one. Highly recommend this product

bolted on super easy and plugged right into the stock truck harness on my 2010 F250. It is much easier to install this version over the Hopkins typical replacement because the bolts are locked into the plastic so you don't have to put a wrench on both sides of the bumper when installing Ill update my review as time goes on if anything happens but as of right now 5 out of 5

This 40950 will (and did) plug into my 2003 Suburban's stock vehicle harness and would have provided proper function of lights, but the mounting was not stock. I would have had to drill holes or get a different mounting bracket. The proper twist lock mounting plug is part # 40920. I should have gone to the Hopkins site to confirm. For a couple more dollars, I plan to return this and buy the 40920 for my truck.

It was a simple plug and play system. But on my 2019 Nissan Titan Pro 4X it wasn’t. I am going to have to make the hole bigger so it will fit in and make something to install behind it bc it doesn’t completely cover the original oil. I can do all that with no problem and make it look like new but just saying that it fits doesn’t always mean fit properly without alterations. But to use both plugs you don’t have a choice. But all’s good. Would recommend due to the good quality of product just be prepared to do a little work.

Replaced my bumper and hitch and decided to go with this connector. Drilled a hole next to the license plate with a hole saw and mounted it there. Like the added four plug adpaper on the bottom.

Great build quality, I like the way the screws mount. That being said after install I tested the plug and it is extremely loose.. Tried multiple trailers and they all fall out and fit so loose I gotta move the plug around in the Hopkins to even get connection. First, Amazon sent me the wrong plug. Had to return and buy this one. Now this p.o.c. is going to need to get returned too. I tried to call the support number and they're closed on a Saturday. I'm so over it. I will not be buying another Hopkins product after this hassle 😩 I shop eBay because you can actually message a seller. Not on Amazon 🙄 This has been a joke

Me parece de buena calidad y la variedad para elegir dependiendo de donde se valla a instalar lo hace muy práctico, verificar el número de modelo y su aplicación.

The electrical part of the plug was perfect. I was expecting the plug to cover the existing hole in the bumper from the old plug. It did not. We made a plate to add in to make it work. Thanks

I installed this on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma. I destroyed the OME trailer plug on the trails (very common). This plug fits perfectly by the license plate. I also used the "Hopkins 40985 Universal Multi-Tow Harness Connector" to wire it. Note that the wiring colours are not a perfect match. You simply need to math the Tacoma wiring (RV Standard) to the Hopkins Connector (SAE Standard) like shown in my pictures. Hopkins website will have the wiring diagrams for you. You DO NOT want to match colour to colour.
