I've been using "Outer's Gun & Reel Cloths" for 50 years or so, back to when they were $1.00 apiece, so you know it's been a long time!Anyway, up until now, I was able to find them here on Amazon at a lower price than from most Sporting Goods stores, etc., so was somewhat concerned when I no longer could find them. I have a large inventory of Firearms and Fishing Reels that demand to be consistently taken care of.To make this review a little bit shorter, I had doubts about these from Hoppe's, but only because their price point was so much lower than the Outer's Silicone Cloths. Nevertheless, in reading several of the Customer Reviews on the Hoppe's product, I felt more confident in trying a new brand, even though Hoppe's is a name that is totally recognizable in the Sports field of products.Now here's the 'kicker'; these are actually better than what I'd been using before and several dollars cheaper than the old standby Outer's cloths. When you use 12 to 16 cloths to cover & store all your items, then when storing them in their case you wrap them in a single cloth until you next go to use the item, it is nice and freshly cleaned and lubricated when you open up the case which is always better than waiting until the last minute to clean and store them.I'm happy, Amazon's probably happy, and Hoppe's has a new customer. Bottom line is this is a great product that I will recommend to anyone who is Hunting and/or Fishing advocate; they do save time, preserve the finish just as the Outer's did, and saves money in the end.Thank you for reading my review!D.O'D.

The cloth is nice and soft. Very large so you'll get plenty of use. There is a lot of silicon on this cloth. Much more than other brands. So, it will last a long time. It comes in a resealable bag so storage isn't an issue. This is the best way to finish your cleaning process as the silicon gives you an added layer of moisture protection.

I have a few of these that I use for final wipe down of rods and reels before putting away after saltwater use. Of course they are rinsed and dried first. Leaves a nice protective coat, but not too heavy or oily. I can highly recommend this product for this purpose. I do not use these for firearms. I do not recommend using silicone on guns, that’s just my opinion. There are many better products for that purpose that lubricate and inhibit corrosion at a much higher level.

Hoppes is a brand that has been around for the ages. From my grandfather to myself and now my boys for cleaning supplies for our guns. Recently decided to try their silicone embedded cloths and have not complaints. I like it now to help clean our guns after use and handling. Something about wiping away fingerprints and making everything nice and shiny.I now keep one with my cleaning supplies but also my gun bags when going out in the field and need a quick wipe down. Recommend compared to other brands as the quality to price is good.

Cleans my gun fantasically and the silicone infused cloth makes the it feel fantastic. Should be in every wooden stock gun owners kit, and also works on the barrel like a charm, stopping any rust. Highly reccomend.

I really like this cloth, as I do most of their products.It really gets the job done.I use it as a last step when I have cleaned my guns, and as a step in the process any time I am putting them away in the safe for a longer rest.Great for maintaining finish and keeping them free of marks, prints, etc that might do damage in the long term. Leaves no residue or fluff or anything like that behind.Comes in a resealable storage bag as well.

Has a liberal amount of silicone in the cloth which should last a long time. I’ll be keeping it in the plastic bag so the silicone doesn’t coat the bench or other storage container. I use it to apply a coating on an item them use a different cloth to polish it in.
