I remember having a magnet just like this when I was a kid, complete with the metal keeper so the magnet doesn't stick to too many things while in storage. I had that other one for years and it never lost its magnetism, so I'm inclined to believe this one when it says it won't either.It's painted bright red so it won't easily get lost. There's a pre-drilled hole in the top arch that you could use to fasten to a hook, rod, or string if you need to use it to fish something metal out of a pipe or other hard-to-reach place.There are a million uses for this magnet at home, work, and school. It took several weeks to arrive, so if you're in a hurry look elsewhere, but otherwise this is a useful thing to have around.
