I use this converter when I need two microphone inputs to my audio interface as one input is 1/4" only. It works great and is very transparent. The only effect I can hear from it compared to coming straight in from XLR with a mic is a very slight warming of the audio. Excellent Product.Note that if you try to use this in a live audio setting coming into a line in channel on your mixer, you will probably have to turn the gain way up and consequently have more noise in your system.

These traveled with us to Jamaica for some open-air music/public-speaking using a battery powered PA that only had 1/4" jacks. Solid as a rock and worked flawlessly. Very happy with purchase and price.

Works perfectly with a solid connection. Gets a little bulky when XLR male to 1/4" female is added, but it converts my low impedance mic to work with the harp amp. Must Have.

Failed after around 10 times using it! Spend another 10 bucks and get one that lasts! Hosa is crap! I should have known!

Due to an amalgamation of p.a. odds and ends, I needed something to enable me to couple a guitar graphic equaliser with a microphone. These two items don't easily work together as they have different impedance ratings. But using this natty device I solved the problem. Inexpensive and compact this is a really useful doodad. Top marks!

Can't get it to work with a couple of my mics but this isn't a problem with the transformer. It is down to the mics having a miserable output; with a decent mic it works just fine.
