Like others, the hose on our machine broke. After looking on YouTube on how to fix it, we were pleasantly surprised that we could get the parts promptly and for a good price from Amazon. We have used the machine a few times and the hose hasn't broke or weakened.

Easy install. At the most took 30 minutes. Pop out the top hoses. Directions look like they had been copied off previous pages. Kind of hard to read, but you can get the gist of what you need to do. Some YouTube videos helped clarify questions as well. Product itself, however, is amazing and carpet cleaner is working better than ever.

They were easy to install, fit and work fabulously, and I can fully open the lid, which is way better to fill and empty the machine without having to awkwardly hold the lid up. There are no leaks and the price was good too! Great purchase I am extremely happy with!!!!

Con: The price for this kit is ridiculous. When you factor in that most consumers will probably have to pay someone to do the upgrade to their Rug Doctor, you're looking at a decision to make here.Con: The included instruction sheet is a poor photo-copy and is hard to read. You'll need to watch numerous YouTube videos showing how other customers have upgraded their Rug Doctor, as the instructions just don't cut it.Con: As reported in other reviews, both hoses are TOO SHORT. It appears either the seller doesn't care or isn't reading the reviews. The longer hose which is already too short wasn't snipped properly by the seller, so an additional 1/2" had to be snipped away so it would screw into the connector. To the seller: Having to stretch these hoses an inch longer while doing the attachments is a royal pain and it puts an undue strain on the hoses, when you could simply cut them 2 inches longer like they should be.Con: Both hoses are non OEM coil style, meaning the coil is twice as far apart as the original hose. I can explain this further... the original X3 hoses have a tighter threading than the hoses included in this package. They DO screw into each place they're supposed to, due to the squeeze/stretch factor of these coiled hoses. To keep in line with how Rug Doctor made the X3, I put a thin bead of bathroom caulk around the 2nd thread of each connection.Pro: After doing my own research and having already dealt with the X3 numerous times in the past I did get the upgrade kit installed and have done my annual bedroom cleanings with total success. The suction is back and I'm seeing good enough results to justify the price since I did the upgrade myself.

Parts didn’t fit properly so they wouldn’t align. I had to locate and purchase ne hoses
