We have a Yamaha keyboard with MIDI in/out that we needed to connect to a Macbook Air via USB for my daughter to use Piano Marvel, a piano teaching tool. This cable worked great.

This product does the job but the in and the out cables were mislabeled on my one I received and I thought it was broken or just didn’t work!!! Make sure to try and switch around the cables if you are having this issue!!!!

At first I thought this cable did not connect my keyboard to my computer. Turns out, in order for the two to communicate, you have to swap the ins and outs. In other words, the "in" side of the cable plugs into the "out" port and vice versa). According to Google this is just a thing.The cable is nice and long, so it's easy to connect to my computer. Also it has a nice bit of Velcro to help store the cable once you're done with it.Happy music-ing!

Everything worked well with this cable until I booted up my synths a few days ago and every note I held and applied aftertouch to completely went haywire and played dozens of 127 velocity notes from all the way down and up the 88 keys. Completely useless now. Not a huge waste of money but I should have trusted my gut and just bought a proper Midi 2x2 or 4x4 interface.

Was inexpensive but stopped working after a few months. The midi would be delayed by a second when I would initiate start with my computer, checked all settings, nothing resolved.I can’t guarantee its consistency!
