I use Tap Magic for various metal cutting and drilling projects and find that it really helps speed up cutting and reduces tool dulling. It only takes a couple of drops for most applications.I see the econuts in CA will not allow this environmental friendly product to be sold in CA, so I send generous supplies of the stuff to all my progressive abused friends in CA. They swear by the stuff and don't care what the authoritarian progressive eco-freaks think. They promise to vote Republican next election.

This cutting fluid works really well. It significantly decreased the heat generated when cutting spot welds both with a spot weld cutter and a 3/8th" drill bit. I even put it on my Dremel metal cutting blade, and it helped the wheel last a lot longer. The amount of sparks was cut down to almost nothing too. I can't attest to the long term effect, but it's already cut my costs for cutting off pieces of a 1966 Mustang in half.

I use it mostly for drilling and tapping and treading. It is the only product I use for performing these tasks because it just works better.

When I placed my order, the picture shown looked like the metal can tapping fluid. I was fully expecting the METAL can, not plastic. No where in the description said plastic. So based off the picture I thought it would be the metal cans.

20 years in the shop and I was just introduced to this...It works better than I anticipated. I even tried it on hacksaw/recip saw and it really is magical.

Even when cutting threads into acrylic, this is really useful. Creates beautifully clean threads and makes the acrylic less likely to crack during tapping.

Came on time, on target and was well packed by the vendor. This product lubes cutting edges of drill bits and metal files prolonging their life and makes the job easier to do. I've always used oil but this one smoke only at a much higher temperature than my old oil and seems to make the job easier all around. Recommended.

This is top notch fluid. I use it regularly for drilling with a drill press and then tapping those same drill holes. Other oil mixtures seem to dry out quickly as the cutting/drilling bit and associated material heat up. This fluid lubricates very well, it's thin (not very viscus) and does not boil/burn away as quickly. You'll still need a few applications but when drilling for example I'm able to get away with two small applications to drill a 3/8th hole in 1 inch hot rolled A36 steel plate. The fluid is easy to clean up and wipe away. I always wear gloves, it is apparently a skin irritant. Also, you'll need to use a cleaner such as mineral spirits to clean any left over residue before painting, it is oil after all and does not evaporate very quickly at all.One criticism, the bottle needs a spout cap, otherwise it's easy to spill if you knock the bottle over. I also needed to put it in a larger ziplock bag once opened.
