Completely in the dark as to why these include teflon tape! The rest of the engineering is top-notch.I have four of them so far, and none leak. Hand-tight, and barely, at that. The swiveling ability is a perk for a tidy installation. Easy five stars. Not a lot to say other than these are above and beyond expectation.The orifices of sufficient size were what originally got my attention; it can be difficult to find decent-flowing wyes. They may cost a bit more than others, but sometimes the good stuff does cost more. For those saying the valves are hard to turn, that's a sign of quality, in my opinion. I expect these to last a while. I found them easy to not only install, but also use (including the valves, with various hands of differing strengths). I just measured one; the exit aperture barely allowed the blunt end of a drill bit 21/64" to pass. 23/64" did not fit and the drill bit set curiously did not include an 11/32" bit.

This is the third one of these I have ordered over the last year for various locations on my property. They are great quality and the valves work easily even after several months.

All metal. Comes with extra hose washer. Nicely made, good fit and finish. Should be more durable than splitters using plastic parts.They also included a small roll of Teflon tape, which is misleading and unnecessary. The only intended sealing surface is the washer. The threads have nothing to do with it and require no additional sealant. ???

My only concern is the need for Teflon tape. I’ve never needed this on an outdoor hose fitting before and my hose connections don’t leak.I initially installed to the faucet without the supplied Teflon tape and hand tightened well. The new washer was in place and properly seated. Turned it on and it leaked badly.Added the Teflon tape - just a few layers - and no leak at all. Makes me think that the threads on the splitter just aren’t that precisely machined. Hopefully they did not affect the faucet threads before the tape was applied but anyway it works perfectly now.I really like the fact that it is solid brass - especially the splitter valve handles as the plastic ones are notorious for breaking off especially with UV degradation out in the sun all day.One word of prevention - if your hose fittings are aluminum or another metal other than brass be sure to remove periodically as the metals other than brass can corrode making it very difficult to remove non-brass fittings.A little petroleum jelly on the threads may help delay the corrosion - or in this case, the Teflon tape may provide some barrier.

Works really well! I've used the plastic and metal ones before, and they always leak! The little knobs to turn the water off and on gets stuck, and sometimes break off. This one, made of solid brass, is far superior. Although it was difficult the first time, the knobs that turn the water off, and on, are very smooth and easy to operate, and when they turn off, they are completely off! When I first connected the hoses to them, they did leak a little, but then I just wrapped more of the tape around the threads, and they work perfectly no leaks at all! I’m glad I got this one, and didn’t spend 20 or $30 for the very high-end ones. This one is all you will need!

No leaks, let's me have two outlets for the tap, the small shut off valves get a little sticky but haven't gotten stuck. Easy install, fit well, seems to be holding up well so far

The tape is pointless as its very cheap IMO. it leaked with the tape, took it off, no leaks. Otherwise, Decent product for the price point. Would buy again.

Works exactly as advertised. Came with Teflon Tape which is highly recommended to use to prevent any leakage of water around the threads. RS

We have been using it for a few months now. Seems well made. No problems so far. No leaks.
