The Compression Router Bit
The compression cutters are designed with both up and down-cut flutes. The top portion of the length of cut, closest to the shank, has a left hand spiral, forcing chips down.
when using the compression bit, you must ensure the first pass is below the upcut portion of the bit, or you will get results similar to just cutting with an upcut bit; Using a ramp in, plunging into the material over a distance instead of all at once, and a lead in, starting outside the design to get to the pass depth, it will ensure that the entire piece is clean on the top and bottom. Compression bits are designed to cut in a single pass, however, if your machine cannot handle that depth of cut you can cut in multiple passes, as long as that first pass is below the upcut portion of the bit.

Using these bits in my Fox Alien CNC. Cut quality is good. Life seems to be good (no dulling after 5hrs of cutting in laminated hdf). Time will tell but for the price you can't go wrong

I run a CNC based business and have tried almost every brand of endmills available. These bits are the best I've found. The value is beyond great. They leave a smooth bottom in pockets and last longer than endmills several times the cost. Normally I find that cheaper bits sometimes cut just as good as the top price bits but don't last as long, not these Hozly bits they both cut better and last and have a longer life. I buy the 6mm, 1/8th regularly and just received the 5/16th. It's hard to believe they are this good for the price but it's true. The other day I misjudged and hit a aluminum clamp with the bit and it just kept going and I let it finish the tool path and the cuts were still great!

Worked well in my cnc machine for cutting and milling plywood. Size was correct and fit my chuck well.

My best 6mm CNC bit so far. I use it on a Shapeoko CNC machine fitted with the Makita RT700 to cut 12 and 18mm plywood to make furniture. So far this bit outperformed all previous bits. Cuts are clean, and the machine struggles a lot less to go through the stock material.Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I don't know yet how long it will remain sharp.

I am cutting precision templates in MDF using a hobby-sized CNC router. Prior to this I had used solid carbide upcut bits from another manufacturer. They left a fuzzy cut requiring lots of hand work to clean up. These bits leave a perfect cut both on the top surface and in the bottom of pockets. I doubt that a more expensive bit can do much better, if any.

So far I've not burnt one out. Cuts are smooth on both edges (ply and melamine). From my perspective (beginner) very good value for (my) money.

they are tiny and short. near useless to me. maybe if you have one of those 99.00 cnc's with a dremel. these'll sink to the bottom of my bits drawer.

Estás fresas cortan muy bien, de mome to.llevo 6 tableros de HPL con la primera y sigue cortando bien, aguantan bastante caña.
