I needed an additional dock for my home office, this works seamlessly with my Wife’s HP computer and my MacBook. Cleaning up the wires and cables on the desk. Has all the needed ports, power supply also charges the laptop with one single connection to the laptop. Easy add on to any desk space.

I recently acquired an excellent LG Gram laptop. With the oncoming upgrade to Windows 11 imminent and my old desktop unable to transition, I started to look into the practicality of using the laptop as a direct desktop replacement. The big question I had was how to functionally replicate the number of ports available on a typical desktop compared to the paltry number fitted to most laptops. Turns out, a device like this is the answer.This is even more so true if your laptop has an USB-C port which supports power and charging input. Fortunately my new laptop does. In fact it has two although one is all I’ve needed to use so far.The main connection to the computer is through a fixed USB-C cable that comes out of the bottom of the docking hub. This is pretty much all you need to connect in order to get started. Personally I would prefer a port allowing you to connect with a separate USB cable. It won’t make a lot of difference to me since the hub is mounted permanently in place but I do worry about that cable becoming unreliable or fraying if it’s moved around a lot. There is another USB-C port on the side of the box.In use, I haven’t encountered any issues. The dock provides power to my laptop. I have another larger monitor connected simultaneously running at 1080p. My printer/scanner works just as it did with my desktop; vital for my home-based business. Also my storage devices work flawlessly. I was even able to get digital audio out to my receiver using the secondary USB-C socket connected to an SPDIF converter and a fiber-optical cable.As this is a permanent install, I decided to purchase an optional wall cradle which both saves space and looks much neater. I do think the overall price was a little on the high side, even given the included cable bundle, especially for a refurbished product. That said, the refurb was flawless and, apart from the packing box. everything appeared new. There are inexpensive docking stations available for less but this HP assures as an office-quality product you can just set and forget.A great solution for my work and domestic needs.

This dock looks basically brand new and unused. It has a tiny ding in the plastic in one spot, but I've received new products with similar cosmetic issues.It comes with an HDMI, DP, and USB C cable, the power supply, and it has a permanently attached cable for connecting to your laptop.The power supply is a mid-sized brick. Not small by any means, but small for something you expect to leave under your desk. A neat feature is that the cable end that attaches to the dock is mechanically held in place so it's unlikely to become unplugged while you are working.I think the layout is nice for a desktop dock. It has most of the connectors on the back, a USB C on the front, a couple of USB A and audio on the side. The power button is on top. It tucks in next to a monitor easily. Overall, rather nice for what it delivers. It isn't the most functional dock in existence but it has all of the general business features. You may wish it had an SD card reader, but probably not.The seller's description appears accurate in every way I've been able to find so I am not going to list off features that are already in the description. I will say that I've tested it with a couple of non-HP computers and it works fine/appears fully functional, so the list of compatible devices is perhaps understated.

I connected all the peripherals: monitors, keyboard, mouse. Keyboard and mouse worked fine but no-go on the monitors…..which is the only reason I needed this.
