I use the dvd-r disks quite often and the HP disks is a good brand and one i have purchased in the past. I have not used any disks from this pack as I am finishing up the hp dvd-r pack I already had. I am sure this pack will be just as good.My only issue with this item is the way it is packaged. The disks are n the spindle and the only thing around the disks is a piece of heavy paper. I had ripped that about half way down before I realized that taking this off would leave my disks with no protection. There is a plastic top that screws down on the spindle that goes thru the middle of the disks. I would prefer the hard plastic top that comes down over the disks.I would still recommend this item and when these are used I will most likely purchase this exact same product again, unless I run in to problems with the disks. But I do not fore see that happening.

The best way to determine the quality of any optical disc is how many duds of coasters they make and how long they last. I'm about 10 in and no coasters. Obviously, none of us know how well these will hold up to time until years go by. But so far, so good. I'll update this review if anything changes, but great value for the money!

This review is a bit premature, I'll admit. So far I'm a quarter of the way through the 100 stack of DVD-R's and already I've discovered a defective disc. I was able to go ahead and burn the movie I was transferring to it, but with some errors. I burned the disc, viewed the movie from the disc, and noticed some digitizing, which didn't detract too much from the movie as a whole, but shouldn't be happening with a brand new product, I may come back and revise this rating once I get through the whole stack, but notable is the fact that last time I purchased the Amazon Basics DVD-R's and they were flawless. These HP discs were a bit cheaper, so I decided to go with them this time and as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for!"

The only complaint that I have about this product is one of the spindles broke open during transit. I feel the company should have used a different shipment method such as UPS. They instead used the USPS or snail mail and well we all know how they deliver. The product itself is a great buy and so far I have not had any coasters as long as I burn the disks at half the write speed. Will use again in the future if the need arises. Also had a problem getting the container which wasn't broken open.There is an arrow at the top of the container which shows open and close. If you have old eyes like me it is very hard to see. My son had to come over and figure it out. You have to keep unscrewing the top half of the spindle then the package opens. It took about 6 or 8 turns in the direction of the arrow which points to open. there are about 5 plastic disk protectors on top. This is done I guess to ensure there is no damage to the property.

good brand I used before then during a reinstall I needed more backup and realized I needed more. With Prime came on time and project continues.

The discs are excellent, no problems in burning. While I thought the handle pack was a great idea, once I used it I changed my mind. The read and black cover is just a coated paper which offers limited protection. to remove the discs I pulled the paper up and off the discs, then I could grasp the discs and remove then from the spindle. I much prefer the standard packaging as it more convenient. While this was a good value/price, I will look for comparable pricing on standard packaging when I order discs again.

Good idea for carrying and storage; also good picture quality after copying, HP has always made good products and this is another one.

These are great for recording on. However I made a mistake and ordered 10 at one time. They shipped all 10 in the same box. Needless to say the box looked like it had been used as a goal for a hockey game. Every single one of the containers had been broken open and two were missing completely. I guess they fell out the hole in the box. I called in and they were replace by doing the same shipping option again! So the next day, I received another box and this time only one was busted up and scratched up. My suggestion is not to order more than one at a time.
