It foes its job. The button switch is small so you need some shoe to step on it. Bare feet with socks is not enough.

I bought this to replace the broken footswitch on a Fender reverb unit. Works great! The cable is a little short, and the plug can be awkward to get into the 1/4" jack in the reverb unit (because of the back panel), but it fits fine.

My Fender Blues Jr. was missing the FAT peddle and this works perfectly. Now I don't have to worry about that little button on the face and can get that overdrive with a flick of my foot.
