They work well, snug up with no problems , and fit right. No flex in the units either . Pretty solid parts for the money. Sturdy, easy to use, holds my camera snugly. All around a good purchase

HSU Aluminum Extension Arm for GoPro Hero 12: Very well-made machined aluminum. I use this to boost my GoPro over the lip of my speedometer hood. The joint offers an extra point of angle adjustment over a straight 1-piece arm. The Allen wrench, metal knob key with strap were appreciated. Highly Recommended.

I have a custom chin mount for my GoPro on my Shoei helmet. It has the standard three arm slots to attach a GoPro to it. But, when you attach the GoPro directly to the mount, it can't be angled back far enough, and then all the camera sees is the gas tank! I bought this extension which gives me infinite flexibility for camera angles, and problem solved! I'm delighted with this and am grateful that it exists. Highly recommended! Now I can angle the GoPro back further and it can see the road ahead.

Not sure whether or not the design took into account the GoPro mounting tabs sometimes not being parallel. The machining on one end of the mounts looks more like a dovetail slot than it does for a GoPro. However, there are bend reliefs in the design to reduce torque required to clamp the camera. Overall finish, stiffness, and packaging good.

I don't trust a lot of the plastic versions of these extension arms. Being made out of machined aluminum, they aren't going to break.

We purchased two of these extension, adjustment arms to provide enough space between a camera and the mounting point. The product we received comes in a small box that includes the adjustment arm, but also includes a small wrench to tighten the knob on the arm (which could be used for other adjustment knobs) and a small Allen wrench and bolt. I have never seen a product like this come with such detail and it is all in a small perfectly sized box.The metal adjustment arm fits perfectly in the plastic sleeving used for other camera parts, no bending or filing needed. The adjustment knob, without use of the included wrench, tightens down well just hand tightened, I have not had the need to use the included knob wrench yet.I did purchase two of these so that I could connect the in line to provide more extension and movement to my angles and they work well (no unnecessary movement, bending, etc.) if you need that type of angle.I love the metal aluminum alloy in red, the color is vibrant, covers the entire arm as well as the included wrench and just gives a typical "black" camera set up some much needed color.I am truly impressed by the product that I received and would recommend it to others.

Manufacturing it in aluminum sounds like a good idea but there are drawbacks to this.The key requirement of these parts is to provide a solid connection for your GoPro.Unfortunately, because it's made with aluminum, it doesn't flex well enough to lock the hinge points tight. The result is that you need to tighten the knob with a lot of force (torque) to cinch up the joint. I think they realized this, which is why they include a free wrench to help you tighten more than hand-tight.The OEM GoPro parts are made with plastic which flexes and allows you to tighten up a hinge point with much less torque on the knobs.

I bought this to increase the distance, and hence eliminate interference, between my GoPro and GPS cycling computer under an outfront mount on a road bike.Solid unit, machined to decent tolerances and finish. Screw retains lock when tightened with fingers.The articulated bar was supplied with a plastic spanner to torque up the GopPro screw handles to further prevent loosening by vibration. (Inclusion of a second screw would have been appreciated.)I have not had any issues with it over a thousand kilometres of cycling, including a crash. Bike computer display now shows stable readings.Reasonably good value for money and successfully achieves the intended purpose.
