This Hunter Specialties 644 Magnum Gambrel is perfectly designed and built....1/2" diameter smooth steel rods, welded connections, and coated with a thick epoxy coating. It should last for generations and I think you could hang a truck from it.

Nice, heavy construction and is easier to use than others - the small crossbar at the top, and the slightly more acute angle of the ends make this gambrel the best I've used. The price is right for a quality product, too!

The gambrel that I received had 2 vertical welded supports not the single support like the picture. It is very heavy duty and the 2 supports make it even stronger. Perfect for whitetail deer .

This gambrel is nice and sturdy. It's thick metal and seems extremely durable. This should last forever.However, the gambrel I received is not the same as the one pictured for sale. The one pictured for sale only has one vertical bar in the middle. The gambrel I received has a vertical bar on each end. The one for sale also has a more pronounced bell curve at the top than the one I received.Despite the differences, I think the gambrel I received is actually better and looks more sturdier than the one pictured for sale. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this gambrel to anyone needing to upgrade.

Solid gambrel. Hope to get a lot of use out of it! What I received wasn’t exactly as shown in the Amazon ad image. What I got has no central upright bar. There are two smaller uprights towards the hooks (see myimage attached). Not a big deal. This will hang a big moose no problem.
