They jingle as they should. I do have Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) pretty bad nowadays, so they are not too easy to hear. A bigger bell for me would work better. This is no fault of the bells, I'm just throwing that out there for anyone with the same condition, you may want to get a bigger bell.

Cheap bite alert works like magic, especially once you pivot the bell down a little so the little rattle barely misses it, to the point it might rub it if there's a little breeze.I use it for night Catfishing and it works like magic every time.I do recommend taking off while casting and put it back on once you set the rod in the holder, I did lose one of them when I went for a big cast with my 8' catfish rod, otherwise the thing is solid.

These are the best bells in the market, hands down. I bought these from a tackle shop, gave it a shot at night, first fish I caught was a shark, then a skate and then a bluefish. Loved how we were enjoying a bonfire and as soon as a fish touched the lure, the bell rang. I lost two as I forgot to take them off before casting. Ordered more from Amazon and the fun began again. Just don't cast with these as you will lose them. Put it in after you cast before setting the rod.

They fell apart after only a couple uses. I have some other brass fishing bells that have lasted years and actually ring, but these are 100% worthless. Some kind of painted metal for the bell that makes a dull tink sound instead of ring. One bell fell off the clip first use, and the clip just fell apart on other. CHINA stamped real big on the top of the bell is pretty accurate for the piece of junk you are getting.

OK all these bells are the same but for the fact these are not name brand and are super cheap i would recommend these for the price alone. Mine are great and I use them every time im fishing for trout. Dont wast money on the in store name brand..get these!!
