Soft and pleasing to the touch. I would say it’s more like velour, and It’s perfect because it is machine washable! I wanted to protect my new chairs from “accidental†cat scratching. The chairs were advertised as velvet but the pile was not long enough to protect from cat’s nails. This material gives just the right amount of protection I hoped for. The back of the chair is the usual target. In my household, one cat in particular will scratch to annoy another cat sitting in the chair while not be seen by the housekeeper. The tight popping sound of material threads being torn is lost. The material is stretched enough and the shape of the chair keeps the cover from hugging too tight. The cat’s nails can’t get to the chair surface. So no gratification there and nothing is snagged!These are not custom fitted but accommodate my chairs nicely. Where there is a little slack on the arms as shown in the picture is an added bonus! The fabric takes on beautiful depth, texture and highlights of dark and light color!No fussing with straightening after each sit. These covers have been on for a month and they still look neat.These covers will allow me change up my decor with ease! I’m excited thinking about the next color I will choose!!

Really nice cover but too small for my chair. I ve bought from this brand twice before and love it. No problems. Material is soft and thick. After 3years there’s a small hole . I think it’s a good buy.

We just completed a small renovation of our basement into an office. We had two recliners; one is pretty old—something like 16-17 years old—and leather (dark brown) and very scratched up from years of abuse by multiple cats. The other is fake suede, mocha color, that we inherited from a relative. It had a lot of stains on it, which no amount of cleaning seemed to remove. We decided to try to cover these mismatched recliners rather than to purchase new ones.These recliners are on the large side. They’re both pretty similar in size and slightly different in shape. I ordered the dark gray velvet stretch covers. I was a little bit concerned that the covers would be too small. But they seem to fit very well. And they do stretch a lot. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. As you can see from the photo my cats seem to like it!I only have two small complaints:1) The color is a bit different than I thought it would be from the pictures. I thought it would be a dark, charcoal gray. It is more of a medium gray. Not the end of the world.2) There is no good way to secure the back. The loops just don’t seem to connect to anything that will pull it tight enough and work well with the arm covers back there. Putting it underneath sort of worked OK for one recliner (the mocha suede one) But for the leather one there was no good way to secure the back so it just kind of flops around back there at the bottom. Could be that my chairs don’t have the recommended internal configurations. The back of the recliner looks sort of messy but it still looks infinitely better than the scratched up surface it was before.Installation was not terrible. Though, I do believe it’s a two-person job if you want it done so that it stays put and looks clean. So far they seem to be staying put. My husband and I (and the cats) both got in and out of the recliners several times, putting the legs up and down and everything seems to have stayed in place.Overall, I would recommend them. Especially if you’re trying to save some money until you can find suitable replacement chairs.

I have used furniture covers for years. I have only used 1 piece covers in the past. I thought I would take a chance on trying this 4-piece option. It was a good thought. Trying to put on a 1-piece cover is daunting, especially for only one person. This 4-piece version is so much easier. The pieces are smaller and more easily conform to the shape of the chair or sofa. Here is another benefit That came to mind, if a spill occurs on the arm of the chair, you only need to wash that piece. With a 1 piece cover you have to remove the entire cover. That is much more difficult.One reviewer mentioned that they had to purchase 2 chair options to cover a loveseat. I did so because it was less expensive to do so. But there is another benefit in choosing to do this, you will have 2 additional arm covers to use if the first ones become unusable. This cover is the thickest cover I have ever received. The fabric is soft to the touch but still has quite a bit of stretch. There was a slight odor to the fabric, so I chose to wash before using. It washes and dries beautifully. If you are looking for a chair or loveseat cover, I recommend this one.

Mi sillón es demasiado grande y no habÃa encontrado un cover que fuera tan bueno que se le ajuste, este es tan bueno que parece que fuera su forro original, además de que al tacto es muy suave... Recomendado... Añado fotos, el cover es el rojo y el azul es el originalActualización: despues de un tiempo me era molesto que la parte central que va sujeto al reposapies siempre se soltaba y la solución fue hacerlo al contrario de las instrucciones y pasar las cintas por el respaldo y sujetarlas a las patas del sillon y sin duda alguna hadta el ajuste general se ve mucho mejor
