These are hard to find. Lowes used to carry this or something like it. It has been great to use for wallpapering.

The proper functioning of this tool, whether for smoothing wallpaper or mud over drywall or for window film application, relies on the edges of the tool being straight. The long edge of mine was slightly curved upon arrival. I got this to trim the edges of window privacy film to be straight and flush against the window frame. I was able to apply enough pressure by hand to mostly straighten out the curve, but when I ran my straight blade alongside the edge of the tool to cut the film, the blade would often catch the tool edge and take plastic shavings off of it. This further ruined the straightness of the tool edge. I kept the tool but would not purchase again.

I found this a very handy tool. It was a good size - not too small - worked well for other applications too.I used it for smoothing glue on a jigsaw puzzle I was planning on mounting on heavy paper for framing. Very durable plastic, if you don’t boil it.

Item as described and works perfectly to smooth cakes!! I don't use this smoother for it's intended use but to smooth cakes. I place cardboard cake bases or acrylic rounds on both the top and bottom of the cake I'm covering and use this smoothing tool to achieve a flawless coat of buttercream or ganache. I learned this technique from Jessica Harris Craftsy instructor; she uses this tool to smooth her cake coverings. The acrylic rounds I bought here from Amazon and the acrylic method I learned from Avalon Yarnes and YouTube cake decorators.

This tool was great for installing wallpaper. I probably should have not used it as a cutting edge, because I eventually ruined it. The multi edges were handy for getting into tight corners.
