The “HYZRZ Chef Hat Adult Adjustable Elastic Baker Kitchen Cooking Chef Cap (White, Black Edge)†arrived promptly and is a very well made Chef’s hat.The crisp white fabric is thick and hefty. It’s the kind of hat that will provide years of service because of its high quality. This beautiful hat is also expertly and meticulously constructed. The hat fits a 22†head circumference, plus it has 1†more of additional stretch with the wide elastic.I chose this hat for my pre-teen granddaughter, who loves to cook and bake with me when she comes to visit. It will fit her perfectly and I know she will be thrilled to wear it.The hat has a hidden wide elastic band in the back that allows for some stretch. This lovely hat will replace a disposable paper Chef’s hat that she decorated to wear on her last visit with me.Unfortunately, this “Adult†sized Chef’s hat does not fit my head. I am 5’8†tall and 160lbs. I can wear other hats marked “one size fits all,†but not this one. The Chef’s hat is extremely tight and uncomfortable on me, hence unwearable. It’s a 5 star hat in “materials and craftsmanship,†but only worth 3 stars if I can’t wear it. Another inch of elastic would make a huge difference.Terrific choice if you’re a pre-teen or small-headed person. An excellent choice if, like the shoe, the hat fits…wear it!

I used it for a Halloween costume so the fact that it was big wasn’t a dealbreaker, but I could never wear it in real life. I do have a small head, but it seemed exceptionally large.

I have a running gag where I wear a different fun hat on each of my kayaking outings. I got this chef cap for an upcoming outing.This is an okay cap for my purposes, but I wouldn't say this is for serious use as a chef's cap. It's just not great. It's fine as a costume hat.I have a pretty small head, so getting any headwear to fit me is rather challenging. So your mileage may vary. This hat is large, and it is not really adjustable. There is some elastic banding in the hat that will stretch to fit. It is not possible to adjust the size smaller. So it tries to fall over my ears and my eyes. This is not a showstopper for me since I plan to wear it long enough for the funny picture. But it would need to be pinned or something were I to attempt to wear it for longer, like for a costume party or something.So, in summary....fine as a costume hat with the caveat that you might need to fiddle with it a little if you wear a small hat size.
