Very pleased with this guitar, it’s beautiful from every angle, and the dull finish looks and feels great. The chrome accents look amazing against the black tobacco color. My only complaint was the quality and feel of the strings, I changed them immediately. I understand strings are a personal thing, but charge an extra $10 and just provide a nicer set.This is my second Ibanez, and for the price point, they produce a nice product.

i picked one of these up for 300 beans used and swapped in some flatwounds and a set of $30 7-9k pickups(purportedly alnico 2's), and I am beyond happy to have a decent jazz box again. I'm going to have to spring for a hard case now I was only willing to pay that much for it used because i got to play it first and knew it was a good fit. But with CNC mfg they may well be all alike. orig pickups were appx 8k in neck and 13.5 in bridge. pretty sure they were factory ceramics. I don't remember plugging it in before I changed them.

Great design. Sound was good, though the tones were not as crisp as i would have expected. Unfortunately i returned this unit due to a defect in the lacquer on the front on the body. A section was missed and it started to flake and the wood was exposed, so i had to return. Possibly just a miss, but should’ve reviewed before sending out.
