This tool set is not designed for real-life use; instead, it should serve as a great learning tool for my grandson. He is 6 years old now, but as he grows older, he will have learned what the real tools and accessories are and how to use them. The components are made of durable plastic and should last. One word of caution: The small screwdriver supplied for opening the battery case is actually too small; thus, the Phillips head can easily become stripped -- be careful.

Bought this set for my two grandsons ages 5 and 3 to play with at my house. From the minute they arrived and opened it, they were busy on "projects." The tools are extremely life-like (there's a 'box cutter' in the set that caused more than a few heart attacks when one or another of us saw the kids playing with it LOL) and very sturdy. The drill was a huge hit once we put the batteries in. It has an attachment that lets you switch out drill bits and the boys played with it nonstop. The tool belt and goggles are a nice touch that both boys loved and fought over. The toolbox was really sturdy and well constructed. I would highly recommend this for young boys and girls from 2 to 6. My grands played with this for five straight days and never tired of it. It was great watching them use their imagination to work on projects around the house and yard. Great purchase at a great price.

I purchased this tool set for my grandson's birthday. He was thrilled with the whole set, but especially the drill, since it actually made sounds and rotated. Unfortunately, it stopped by day two. However, when I contacted/emailed the company they were responsive. I couldn't return the whole set because the return date had expired, but they willingly sent a replacement set within a few days. I was really surprised and grateful. The grandson was thrilled to have a working drill again.

The box says 6+ but the safety jacket doesn’t fit my 5 year old. The one piece that goes on the drill didn’t really work but overall my boy likes the tools and the tool box. I got it on sale but if I had to pay full price I wouldn’t think it’s worth $45.

I ordered this for a friend to give to a child for his birthday. I understand he loved it but can tell you no more as I haven't actually seen him playing with it. But I do know he likes to "help" his dad, and so at 4 years old this is a safe and fun box of tools.
