I've been using yellow 77 for 30 years, you can keep the clear stuff and the Klein lube.

This is still the BEST conductor lube available! I’ve been using yellow 77 since the days of the old 60c TW wire.. ( time stamp my life as a master electrician) all the other “new†lubes that have been introduced over the years, PURE GARBAGE! Yellow 77 is still the best! I’ve been back to jobs that I initially installed the conductors over 30 years ago ( AA-8000 Aluminum XHHW) go to pull them out of the conduit, the “waxy†film is still on the conductor!

We had some trouble a few years ago with an election sign that kept being torn down in the night, when we were asleep. The third time we put a new one up, a truck pulled into the driveway. The electricians said they'd noticed our problem, and suggested smearing this on the edges of the sign, and posts. The yellow sticks to hands, won't wash off, and when someone tries wiping it off on clothing or towels, it sticks to those as well. Very handy sometimes!
