I was surprised the roll was so small - about the size of a small orange. Seems to be sturdy, good quality and I like that it's unbleached.

We used this twine to shape a loaf of sourdough bread like a pumpkin. It worked great. We did oil the twine prior to baking with it.

I didn't need a giant ball of kitchen twine. I needed just this size of a very high quality twine. "It has to be good if it's touching my food"!

They're making genetically modified cotton now, so 100% organic is the only way to go. You never know what kind of genes they stick into things these days: jellyfish, botox, bacteria, but nobody wants that stuff rubbing on their trussed-up Thanksgiving turkey legs or herbal sachets. So please make sure everything you buy is organic. Genetically modified is just creepy ;~)
