Our vehicle (Chevy impala)repeatedly kept shutting the car down by setting off the security feature whenever the key would be placed into the ignition. This required a 10 minute reset process before we could try to turn the car on again. We replaced the ignition switch and haven’t had the issue since! The switch fit perfectly, was very simple to replace, and is performing as we expected. It is well made and we would purchase it again in a heartbeat. It is sooo worth sparing ourselves the headache of having to reset the car system every other time we tried to start it.

Ignition went out in my 01 Monte Carlo, removed the old one and replaced it with this one, and followed the 30-minute passlock relearn procedure and it worked great!! key turns flawlessly and works everytime. This will save you a ton of money!! Easily do-able by yourself in about 2 hours.A little tip about the passlock relearn, is make sure all the doors are closed and the trunk is closed before beginning. Great part for the price!!

Did not fit the vehicle. However, it states it does. Also, it does not have a passlock module.

My first review was rejected because I wanted to post the ridiculous amounts that local parts stores want for this part. This is the exact same part and box of Dorman 924-719. Just a different label. Get this part for under $20 or spend hundreds and hundreds at your local parts store.This product will require a relearn procedure that is widely explained on the internet. No special tools needed. Just some waiting time that is built into the vehicle not the tumbler.

This product is excellent! Great Price! It fixed our ignition problem immediately. Only complaint was no instructions. Tho I found a video on You Tube to walk me through the install process. Would buy again!

I had been dealing with my Passlock problem for over a year, sometimes sitting for half an hour at a gas station trying to start my car and waiting for the Passlock to reset. I was dreading what it was going to cost to fix so I was just living with it. If finally got so bad that I had to look into possible fixes and after researching on the internet this seemed to be a likely problem and a relatively inexpensive place to start. Replacing it was very simple and ever since I had had no issues. I wish I had done it long ago!
