These lights work well on my E350 W211. As with Mercedes even the license plate lights are controlled over a computer and tell you if the right or left bulb on the plate is burned out, these bulbs work with the Mercedes settings and give no error code as regular LEDs will.With only three LEDs per bulb they are super bright and give that great look in blue white to contrast your red tail light.Wish they had some for the front parking lights with the same intensity.

I wanted an updated look for my X and new that I wanted to start with the License plate light. I went to my local auto store and bought some very good 6000K LED bulbs and paid $10 for each one. When I changed the bulbs out and placed those LED ones that I bought I received a light warning light to check the license plate lights. It was driving me crazy because they were on and nothing was wrong with them. Then I researched what the problem was, and it was that they ran on a different voltage which was triggering the warning light. So after doing research I decided to go with these.I learned that the bulbs that we need are called canbus bulbs, in other words the ones with the little computer chip or voltage regulator like these have.Once I installed these I noticed that they were much brighter than the store bought LED's, and the best part was no warning sign. and did I say that they are bright, I love them and love the way that they look.

I'm using these 6418 replacements on an 05 Mercedes CLK55AMG who was reporting on the dash one of our license lights being out. I was able to swap these guys out in about five minutes and under $10 which is the fastest and cheapest work I've ever done to this car by about a power of 10 on both.They have the heat sink on the back of them which means a few things: 1. They're directional (duh, they're LED) 2. they're weighted heavier in the back than in the front. If your car doesn't have a lot of room, the back where the heat sink is can touch the frame, which would be bad. They also could flip over because they rotate in the holder. I didn't have either of those specific problems in my application, but I could definitely see where it'd happen. So far I'm happy. If I change that opinion, I'll update the review!So far we've had them in for about four days and they're working, without any type of dash errors. They're bright as can be too! You better not do any crimes while driving a vehicle with these things because you can read the license plate clear as day!

To be honest the color of these bulbs is absolutly amazing just what i had wanted, not too blue or bright like most LEDS go overboard on. i had these bulbs lighting up the plate of the 2004 audi a6 and they looked great. But of course after 2 weeks i got an error code that popped up on my dash displaying that i had a bulb out. i hopped out of my car and noticed that the left bulb had died out. sadly i threw away my old bulbs so ive been driving around with a half lit license plate and a error code on my dash. not pleased with the quality

I put these on my Porsche Cayenne to replace my license plate bulbs. They look great but need to be replaced in less than four months. They start to flicker that go dark. I have gone through two sets and the same thing happens.

I have a 2005 Mercedes C240. I installed the bulbs correctly in to place and astonishingly, it worked! I loved it. The bulbs brightened up my license plate. After 5 months, I started getting an error message on my dashboard. I checked the left license plate bulb and all it was doing was blinking constantly every 5 seconds or so. Unfortunately, I had to replace the blinking one with my original w203 light bulb. I'm going to order a new set of LED bulbs, but for the the amount of time.. the bulbs last for only a couple months.Pros: Bright and works great!Cons: Lasts only for a few months..

After trying two other generic brands of "error-free" LED license plate C5W bulbs, these are the first that did not throw a code of any kind. On the other ones I got from a certain auction site, the left bulb would flash slowly and sometimes stay on, but would still give an error message, no matter what combination and polarity I tried. These iJDMTOY ones worked straight away for my 2009 Mercedes SLK55 AMG. They are definitely brighter than the regular OEM bulbs and have a slight blue hue which is a bit exaggerated in my attached pics. If I could tone them down about 20%, they'd be perfect.

The bulb is holding off without any flicker. It is also bright enough to add visibility at the rear end of the car for safety. I also did not encounter any error message on the inboard computer.

One bulb arrived damaged and does not work, other bulb was ok, installed on 2007 ML320 cdi, still getting error bulb out message. Not error free bulbs for Mercedes.

So far is good, NO MESSAGE ON DASH BOARD SCREEN, BUT COST IS LITTLE MORE DUE TO SHIPPING CHARGES, COMPARE TO OTHER SAME PRODUCTS AVAILABLE IN MARKET.
