You may find the siding mounting block is very easy to install, whether you have siding up or not. For a more complete job, you may also paint the fixture to finish with your desired colors. This product is a one-piece design. The back flange mounts to the substrate with screws. There is a channel formed between the back flange and face, the same concept as J- channel. If your siding will slide into the channel and the channel is wide enough to accommodate the lap.

These vinyl siding blocks for mounting light fixtures are great. Very strong, the installed very easily, my side fit perfectly around them. The look amazing and seem very durable and long lasting. I recommend!

Got these to mount sconce lights on already installed vinyl siding. Work great and look awesome, give a nice clean and professional look to a diy project. I especially like that it eliminates need for an extra wiring box. Great value and highly recommend.

It is a well made product and "creates" at mount and box for electrical connection on an outside wall. I was able to use it on theside of my polebarn, but it was suggested to me by someone for using metal barn siding that has a corregation to it. This is for a flat surface mount only.

I put siding on my wall and wanted to add some lights. These have prepared cut lines on rear that made it easy to cut with oscillating cutting tool. Then you cut the siding for the back of the box and screw into wall. Looks great. Price was a little high I found a online distributor that I ordered several more for considerably less. Shop around.
