Honestly, this thing is a complete waste of money. Pressed two tostones and it broke. The screws came right out of the hinge. Poorly made, hinge in awful and the screws were so small they wouldn’t hold a piece of paper in. I would not waste my money on this piece of crap. It also makes tostone “bowlsâ€. Doesn’t even flatten them out like it’s suppose to. You are better off using two plates to get the job done. Total waste of time and money

This tostones cup maker is great, I have used it for every celebration to make tostones rellenos. It takes a bit of practice to figure out how to make the perfect cups but after a while the cups come out perfect. I have no complaints and really like the tostones cup maker.

It worked exactly as I had expected it. Unfortunately the screws on the hinges were very short and came out after the first few times of using it. I replaced with screws that were a little longer and thicker and I haven’t had a single issue yet. I use the product very often and it works well!

At my first use it broke, I needed it so I have to fine larger and longer screws to fix it, you are not supposed to fix something new!! The wood qualities is good, but the screws that holds the parts together are a yoke!!

I was skeptical bit boy I am glad I bought it. This is perfect to make tostones look high end and turn them into elegant appetizers. I’ve done them with tuna and shrimp. Very yummy!

It seems like ImUSA doesn't have the most minimum concern or care about the product they sell. This is NOT a "Tostonera for stuffed tostones" as they advertise it, wrong design, wrong purpose. Mine broke during my first round of attempt because ...it's not made for stuffing tostones but for smashing tostones (to make fufú, mofongo, and similar smashed plantain dishes). The hole is made too deep down in the wood base and the wood top/handle broke around a hinge due to the pressure needed to try to get the shape for stuffing tostones.Do NOT use this utensil to make stuffing tostones (it's not suitable for that, it'll break), You could use it to make smashing tostones/plantains if you need it to do so (I wouldn't use it for that purpose either but...)Didn't want to go to the hassle of returning a broken item; I took the lost. Avoid losing your money on this item.

I think the idea is great. But the builders used some inexpensive hingeand as sun as you press the plantain it brokeI return it.I can do the same job with thing I already have in my kitchen.
