The holes are all drilled into a single thick slab of metal. The studs are threaded into the same slab. This is WAY better than the ones you find hanging in the home stores in the nuts and bolts aisle.This finish and printing are perfect. This is one of those times I was completely overwhelmed by the quality of something I ordered having only seen pictures. Just ordered a second one. (Decided to send the first one to my Dad for Father's day - it's that impressive)Shipping time was long, but it was definitely worth the wait and money. This is heirloom quality. I imagine this hanging in my son's and his son's garages long after I'm gone.

When the bolt hole or nut can't come to you, this style works. After using this set, I find that the fixed style is a tad more solid than these, and more yes/no when checking a particular thread. On two different occasions this set has been ambiguous between close sizes.
