Simply does what it is made to do and that is to keep SSDs at lower temp.This fit perfectly for an ssd that I had installed in a PS5.Highly recommend as SSDS can reach higher temps.

It's a amazing heatsink, I don't get why people are saying it's a loose fit when it's actually a tight fit and won't cause the drive to fall out, it looks amazing and seems to do its job!

Compact! Didn't test the M.2 Drive without it. So can't really comment how much does it reduces the temps. But build quality is good! Can easily fit most devices. I think this might even fit the PS5.

Most recently I installed this onto an NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and it was effortless. Opened the boxes and had the slim console upgraded in minutes.I have used these in the past on mini pc workstation upgrades. Glad to see the small low profile form factor made it an excellent choice for the millimeter precision of the console.

It works. Inexpensive, and effective. Ask yourself if you really need it, though.NAND is best kept past 40C, though the controller itself should be as cool as possible. At below 40C constantly writing data could potentially shorten the lifespan of your drive. It probably won't really matter for most users, but still worth noting.So if you're roughly within 40C - low/mid 50s on active use, you don't really need this. NAND operates well at higher temps. Only get a heat sink if you know your controller is running too hot.

When they state that this does some cooling, they mean it. I remember receiving this on a near 90°F day and it was cool to the touch. I then partnered it with a 980 Pro. The heatsink fits well within the PS5 and provided more than enough clearance for the SSD cover to go back on. If you are looming to buy the Samsung 980 Pro without the heatsink and are looking for one to go with it. Look no further cause you have found the one.
