4 star because several fittings were not tightened and has small air leaks. A little soapy water and a crescent wrench and it's on the job.

This unit went into a 24 hour on-demand type application that requires a constant air supply. However, the location is in an area that is not frequently visited. I needed a compressor that is rated to run all the time with basic maintenance. This unit does that. We bought it, installed it and turned it on. It has run flawlessly since that day and is much quieter than the one it replaced. I expect years of service out of this unit. IR is very good in this market and seems to be the standard.

Not building pressure after 14 months of service! Needs a pump!This unit was purchased as a back up to an older identical unit and was run alternately with the older unit. Maintenance schedules are on point, only All Season Oil is used for oil changes and unit is visually checked every day by maint staff. The older unit is six years old this year and is still as sound as the day it was bought. IR are typically the best compressor you can buy but we are very disappointed with this one.

this was a replacement for exactly the same compressor that was 15+years old. The new one had 3 legs and the old one had 4 so other than that, installation was easy
