I bought this knitted poncho for a child who is in a car seat. Since she cannot wear a coat in the car seat, I lay this over her while we are in the car and then slip it over her head once we get out. This is a lot easier than trying to put a coat on a child in a parking lot. It works well for that walk from the car into the store.
