After my videocard made suddenly loud and weird noises... I checked the fans and yes, the ball bearing of Fan A was broken. Finding this replacement fan was amazing and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Everything fits and the repair was done in 5-10 minutes. Great product!

I had issues with my Asus GTX 1080 strix graphics card after around 4 years of use, one fan was completely out of service, another fan was making a terrible squeaking noise, and the last fan was the only fully working one. Ordered these replacement fans and they arrived really quickly, only one day shipping. I ordered all three and replaced all three, the first two fans didn't have a good track record so I replaced the only working fan as well as a precaution as it was already old. The box that the fans came in also was a pretty handy tool in keeping track of the screws that I was removing. I recommend watching a few Youtube videos on how the process goes, as you will have to separate the heatsink from the rest of the graphics card. The process was fairly simple, just take the necessary precautions. The only issue that I ran into was that the fan cables were a bit longer than necessary, but it was nothing that a bit of bending and tape couldn't fix. It all fit snugly under the shroud so no major issues there. Another thing that I did while I was doing this was to take the opportunity to replace the thermal paste on my GPU, as it was already old and hardened. I also recommend that you do this if your GPU is older than 3-4 years old, if you're willing and capable. After installing the new fans and replacing the thermal paste, my idle temperature went from 58C to 44C with the fans always on, and 58C to 53C with 0db fan mode on. My full load temps also went from around 75-80C to 60-63C. Overall I'm happy with the improvements, great product.

My old reliable Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti lost a fan recently due to age, and I ended up trying this one. Swapping them out was simple. I took a little extra time and replaced the thermal paste while I had it apart. Fans went right back in and spun up great the first time I put them under a load.My only hiccup was I feel like the cable on these may have been a couple MM shorter than the original. I had to do some re-routing/stretching to get the cable to plug into the pcb correctly.Not a big deal, and certainly not worth any deductions on the score. Just wanted to mention it in case anyone else runs across it.

The TLDR is - These are bad fans. For those of you who are interested, read on...I have purchased these same fans twice now (fool me once...) - about 6 months ago and just about a week ago if that tells you anything about the reliability of these things - The first fan in the chain started to make a grinding noise (more on that later). But these are pretty much the ONLY fans that I could/can find to replace my broken OEM fans in my 980ti so they have me by the... Anyway, others have mentioned the fact that the minimum speed on these fans is pretty much jet turbine speed so be prepared for that - there is no subtlety in their operation. They will cool your GPU but it is not possible for them to do it quietly. I don't care how good you think you are at fine-tuning your fan curve in afterburner or [insert other fan control software] you cannot make these fans quiet - they are binary in nature. They are OFF or LOUD. That is bad enough to warrant a 2 star review.But I came back for seconds! Since the first set I purchased broke after 6 months of use (I admittedly use my PC a lot - but my OEMs had put up with roughly 7 years of hard use) I needed another set that, while I knew they would be loud, at least they wouldn't have a grinding noise - I was wrong. The replacements that I just received, after spending the time to tear my GPU apart and replace the fans (and reinstall the GPU) had another fan that was already defective and making the grinding noise. These are just bad fans. I would only get them if you absolutely unequivocally have to have something that will cool your GPU and there are no other options.

I installed these in a GTX980ti 4 years ago, and they're still working fine after lots of hard work. I don't try to overclock or tweak anything, so they've been running with stock settings. I'm quite pleased with them. I think that they've already lasted longer than the OEM fans the card came with.

I have an Asus STRIX RX480 8GB card that had the "A Fan" die on it. This fan looks identical (minus the STRIX sticker) to the one it replaced. Cables were fine, connectors were fine.My original fan would spin at 2000RPM at 50%, 3000RPM at 75% and 4000RPM at 100%. This fan spins at 1800RPM at 50%, 2800RPM at 75% and 3600RPM @ 100%.That's not really a problem. I actually have had a few STRIX RX480 8GB's and not all of the fans were as fast as the original fan in this particular model. I think this replacement fan comes close to or matches the speed of some of the later models that I have had. Not sure why they varied to begin with.So, all in all, I'd buy these fans again if I needed to.
