These things are awesome, the only way to attach two 3d printed parts together that need to come back apart in the future. I have stress tested these once, the material will break before the insert pulls out.I put a hole in my 3d printed part slightly larger than the smallest diameter of the insert, then sink with a soldering iron. That works very well. Keeping it straight is the only thing you have to watch a little.For permanent bonding, super glue works great too on PLA.Sometimes molten plastic will find its way into the threads, I just run a tap through it to clear it.

The best finish quality, tolerance and packaging of any plastic insets I have purchased and manufactured in China.The above is based on the M5 short inserted I just purchased. I will try their M3 and M2 in the future and let you know.
