UPDATE: August 11th:Pup is now 8 months old and 70+ lbs and the pole, clip, and rope, are all holding up just fine. A couple of the toys have been destroyed, but they seem easy to replace. The plastic casings still slide around, but I slide them back & it's not a big deal. The twist lock on the carabiner has come loose once, but not all the way and it didn't release. We enjoy it so much that I sent one to my mom when she got a lab puppy.Original review from March 29th:My baby puppy loved to chase the tip of an L-shaped stick he found in our yard, so when at 10 weeks and 17lbs he sat on it & broke it I knew he would enjoy having a more industrial version. I looked around at a few of these, but chose this one because of the reinforcing plastic liner inside the rope loop (where the carabiner connects), and the multiple toy types to change out. He's now 18 weeks and 38lbs, and he LOVES every bit of it. We use the braided cloth out in the yard, and the rope knot indoors (not connected to the pole). He is pulling the knot apart, but that's just puppies.Parts that seem super durable:-- the pole screws together-- the handle is ergonomically molded-- the carabiner has a twist-lock-- the rope has a plastic liner to keep it from binding on the carabiner-- the clip ring is welded to the end of the poleParts that seem not so durable:-- the rope knot is already coming apart-- I worry about the tensile strength of the clip (TBD)-- the clear plastic casing that surrounds the stitching at the bottom of the rope tends to slide up & off the part it's supposed to protect.

My puppy loved this toy but unfortunately it didn’t last long. Only had for a few weeks before it stopped working. Not durable at all.

Edited to add: The battery stopped holding a charge less than a month from when we got it. We didn't even recharge it too terribly often. My dog still loves it but it sucks that it didn't last long at all!********My fiance and I were a bit hesitant to purchase this toy based on some of the reviews but we felt our baby shark needed a shark of her own! Our cats have floppy fish that they absolutely love and whenever our new pup saw them for the first time she was so proud of herself for "catching" one we had to get her her own! She loves squeaky toys and even though she's been a pretty aggressive chewer on a lot of stuff, she usually takes pretty good care of her babies! I got her a squeaky stuffed toy the day after we brought her home in September and it's still unscathed lol. But back to this shark yes it doesn't have a very long battery life not that she seems to care if it is flopping or not. She carries it around by the tail, runs back and forth with it as she shakes her head and it is flying like crazy while still in her mouth. It's gone through her teething stage and survived. She gets bummed when I take it to charge it. As soon as they're reunited it's right back to the BFF playtime! If they battery lasted longer or it wasn't so awkward trying to shove the mechanism in it the first time I would have given this 5 stars. If you think your pup would find this a fun toy, give it a try. You might be surprised. We've been pleasantly surprised and just watching her play with it is well worth it!!

I was really excited to get this I have a mixed AST she weighs around 65 pounds and he has tons of energy. She loves this toy, and as soon as she hears the tink of the carabiner she comes runing! The toys that come with are pretty well put together and held up until they didn't.The pole itself is super sturdy, it holds up no matter how hard she pulls, and it does not bend. The handle has a rubber coating so it's easy to hold onto. It has a plastic coating on the rope that the carabiner holds on the end of it. Unfourtnely she had the plastic chewed off inabout 2 weeks, we still played with until the plastic was gone, but then she was quickly able to chew through the rest of the rope. Overall this is a good toy and really helps her get in a good play session. If you have a aggressive chewer with a strong bite it isn't going to last long but its great while it does.

Toy is attractive and has great movement. This is not a good playful toy for dogs. The material is soft and tears easily. The remote section is hard and breaks with very little effort from the dog. Much to expensive toy for the amount of time the dog can play with it. The dog likes the tail movement but destroys it almost immediately. Toy must be recharged constantly if it last that long.

my dog loved these toys, just the perfect size, make squeaking noises, keeps him active and entertain, he enjoys playing with his toys and has fun doing so, they are made of great material.

My dog loves this toy!! He’s been through maybe 10 of them. I wish it was more durable, but the joy my dog gets out of this is worth the continued repurchase.

My dog absolutely loves this toy. It is motion sensing. Do every time she goes near, it starts wagging its tail. Great toy for man’s best friend 😊
