These are really terrific times and very dependable. They're very quiet without all of the gear noises and although they're designed for indoor use, I do use them for outdoor applications when placed within a watertight junction box and the results are wonderful. They're super easy to program and I've never had one fail.

Great switch. Little bit of a challenge to mount in a light box due to its size. Works great very easy to program and have had no issues in the past 3 years

This is the second timer like this that I installed. The first one lasted three years. Pins are a bit small and hard to see if you have them set for the time. Overall works great.

Intermatic IW700k works well and is easy to program. Seems durable, has been in use for 3 months. It would have received 5 stars but the face plate is proprietary and therefore does not work in dual gang outlet. Would be an excellent choice in a single gang box. I had to do some customization in order to get it up to code.

I prefer mechanical wall switches for my outdoor patio lights because they are much easier to program and are not has temperamental as digital timers when there is a power surge or power outage.I have purchased a handful of different mechanical timers from various manufacturers and none of them have been entirely dependable over time, including this model from Intermatic. This item seems well built though I have had one not work properly right out of the box. The Intermatic has the same time features found in other cheaper models such as Woods and UltraPro. However, it does the job well.......for a relatively short period. In my experience, having one of these timers somewhere with temperature variations, such as in a garage, a damp basement or on a wall with an exterior face (but mounted inside), it tends to cause this item to fail after a short while, namely the timing mechanism stops advancing properly. The Intermatic mechanical timers I have in the interior, environmentally controlled areas of my home have lasted much longer (up to four years), though once again over time, they ultimately fail.Do I recommend these timers? No, but there are not many other manufacturers of these types of wall timers and they have not performed particularly well, either.

Way simpler than digital. Can adjust time in seconds, EDT or not.

Works as advertised , the install was easy . The only thing the switch plate is not sized to fit the switch plates in the rest of the house , i ended up making a custom switch plate to match the rest of the switch plates in the house. This unit programs very easy not like the computerized ones .

Just received and installed. Read reviews most of which were not great but decided to take a chance as it was branded 'Intermatic'. It works but is of low quality. I think it is made by another company and rebranded Intermatic as anything I have previously seen made by intermatic was solid but clunky. The housing is of soft molded plastic which can easily deform during installation and put pressure on the moving dial part. It is used to control an outdoor post lamp and replaced an older electronic one which was a bear to program. When (not if) this timer kicks it will go back to a newer electronic one.
