We got these socks for my elderly father for warmth, but they also give his feet good support and pressure. While not as tight as Rx diabetic socks, they are firm, warm, and comfortable.

Love them! They "tick" all my boxes... warm while not being too thick to fit in my shoes, tall enough but not too tall (I'm 5'1", so a 1" fold over is acceptable), and their compression effect make my legs feel comfortable and energized all day.

Using these socks as a winter uniform sock. They are the perfect thickness for in-boot comfort. I do a lot of walking, both indoors and out, in my job. Outside, they maintain warmth. Inside, they aren't overly warm and seem to breathe very well, without moisture trapping. Some Merino wool winter socks can be bulkier, causing a tighter shoe fit, and "claminess" feeling due to moisture being trapped in the thickness. Not these. Just as importantly, they are long enough to reach the knee (and then some for me), AND the top cuff keeps them firmly in place (because "quitters" are the worst socks ever...).

Unfortunately, these socks are not for me. I found that they got wicked cold, wicked fast. While wearing them out on my local mountain: I’ve had to warm up my toes inside the lodge a few hours into snowboarding.On the plus side, they are very comfortable even though they’re a little thin.Ultimately, I would not take them skiing or snowboarding with me again.

I ordered these and liked them so well I asked for more socks in other colors for christmas. Multi functionality for me, as I use them as compression support to control swelling as well as keeping warm. They look and feel like quality socks and a dang good buy for the money. Especially compared to my previous purchases (another brand) that have fallen apart.

I have tried so many socks over the years. Wish I knew of these earlier. They're awesome! They fit well, not too loose not too tight. I have bigger calves and they fit well still. I ordered 3 pairs. Don't write reviews much and find a lot of things to be crap but love these. Been wearing only these all winter in central NY and they have still lasted well. Don't even care bout other socks any more.One more thing. I recommend letting them air dry after a wash, they'll last better than putting them in the dryer. They dry fast.
