IRONTEK Fan Clutch Functions
The fan clutch controls how quickly the cooling fan spins against the radiator. The hotter the engine gets, the more the fan has to spin. If the fan clutch is not functioning correctly, the fan won’t spin at the right speed and therefore can’t provide the cooling needed. It could spin too much and waste power coming from the engine, or spin too little and not cool the engine enough.

Installed on a 2007 dodge ram 1500 4.7. Sounds like a semi truck now when the engine gets up to operating temps! Works perfect.

I used this on my ls swap to move the fan closer to the radiator. Its the same thread on the water pump the fan thread is different so I had to get different bolts for that and do a little grinding for the fan to get to the matting surface. But it was a good solution to help the car cool and give me space for the intake tube.
