I installed five of these in my front yard about two years ago, as was recommended by a neighbor who used to work in the landscape design industry. I replaced Rain Bird valves that were leaking after only about a year of use, which was very frustrating. I purchased the Irritrol valves at a local landscaping supply at the time for about $25 each. They have been very dependable with no maintenance needed whatsoever. So I recently needed to replace the three valves in my backyard, and found them here on Amazon. I purchased them via the "other sellers" link from "SprinklerSupplyStore" for $16.66 each, and received a shipping discount (FREE!) for buying three of them. Great deal and great product! I installed them today, very easily as before. I suspect these will hold up as well as the others have. Therefore I highly recommend these valves.

I bought one of these to replace an identical unit that had been installed well over 10 years ago and had started to leak at the joint between the two halves (i.e. not repairable.) While a product that lasts over 10 years is not bad, the way this one failed may indicate an inherent problem in how the two halves are joined. The new one works well so far.
