I hesitated to buy this when I read the reviews mentioning dullness or poorly ground edges, but mine seems fine. I used it to cut some holes in several Ikea table tops so it was not cutting through hardwoods. Still the cuts were clean, and the bit still feels sharp as it was when I bought it. I bought another in a different size and it was similar so I would probably but this brand again if I needed a forstner bit.The roughness on the 2nd pic is due to a countersink bit I used after the forstner bit cut the hole, the forstner cut a clean hole but the material is the Ikea chipboard so it is difficult to get a clean cut.
