Comfortable plastic grip, spring loaded opening mechanism. good quality steel cutting edge. One side of the cutter is flat so it is good for precision electronics work or cutting out plastic model parts.

I used these diagonal cutters for over 3 years, and after all that time they showed no signs of wear. So, when I lost them I ordered another pair. I did not think of ordering or buying anything else.I am a technician building/working on enclosures, power supplies PLC's, etc. for automation equipment. These flush cut pliers are the perfect tool for cutting wire (12 to 24 AWG).I highly recommend them!

Bought them to replace a 40 year old set of channelock mini cutters I lost. Couldn't find them anywhere. Guess they stopped making them. So I reluctantly settled for these. I’m very happy. Sharp. Hold their edge. Spring loaded. The only drawbacks are the spring loaded part with no lock. They get stuck in your pocket. Also a plus they are spring loaded. The handles looks kind of big and clunky compared to my old ones, but after using them, I don’t notice and they feel great in your hands. Hope they last 40 years like my last ones!

My wife commandeered my cutters to make her flower pens and wore down the cutting blades a bit cutting through thick artificial flower stems. I decided to order a new and hopefully sharp pair for use when working on car alarm and stereo installs. These were rated highly and are a good size. They are high quality cutters and work great for my purposes. My wife liked them too so I ended up getting her a pair also before she started using my new ones for her crafts. They are not very big so not great for heavy gauge wire but perfect for standard automotive wires aside from very heavy power cables for amps and such.

Just purchased this item for work. I cut aircraft safety wire which is steel wire normally . 025 thickness which is Always braided all day everyday. Been using a cheap 6 dollar set from harbor freight that lasted a couple years at least and still cuts just fine, just gotten dull over the time and takes a little more hand strength and effort to cut some times so I wanted a good pair that didn’t cost much seeing as my cheap pair lasted as long as they did. Figured a 12 dollar pair should work just as well if not better and last twice as long. Well I can attest to the fact they will cut through the braided steel safety wire like a hot knife through butter even though they say they not rated for that thick of wire. Can’t attest to the longevity of them yet but will update my review in a few months to see how well they hold up. So far so good ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Despite what the description says the Irwin pliers are not flush cuts. They leave an ever so sharp but sticking out after you cut the tag end off of a zip tie. Zero stars if it was an option description not accurate, if you don't want flush cuts these are ok for the money.

I work in structured cabling, mainly with CAT 6 and CAT 6A cable. These cutters are superb and are a always with me when I’m at work.Build quality is amazing, though the spring can occasionally come out of its place, but that’s easily fixed
