This brush is incredible. I’ve only used synthetic brushes previously. The tip was so perfectly pointed I didn’t need the 10/0 round I usually use. The belly held enough paint that I wasn’t always refilling the brush. When held on its side, the brush, like a flat, applied a lot of paint, but the brush strokes were so smooth I didn’t need a mop brush to blend. It’s incredibly well balanced in the hand and perfect for travel. I’m using it with oil paints, and it performs like a dream. The sizing runs small for these, but as a miniaturist, that’s an asset for me.

Really wanted to like this brush. I ordered Amazon's choice for "travel watercolor brush" set along with 2 individual (escoda reserva #2 and Isabey #4) travel brushes to add to my Rosemary & Co #9. I took photos with all of the travel brushes in marked size order as well as compared to some standard brushes (a Grumbacher #2 and a Princeton #12).As another reviewer noted this is more like a #2 and I agree. Since I had also ordered an escoda #2 that was just as described (and triple crimped ferrule) I opted to return this brush.

I love this brush. It’s perfect for travel or I just leave it in my studio. It’s very delicate lines work wonderful for detailed areas. I recommend that every serious artist has one one of these beautiful brushes

I was really excited about this brush, however, the bristles don't have a fine point and have some sticking out that refuse to go back into place even with proper care. It came like this brand new. I tried to contact the Isabey company to ask if the brush was a dud, (it obviously is) and never received a response.I got it on sale so I'm not going to return it for more then it cost to buy,mine was poor quality.

Isabey makes very nice brushes, however the postage expense from Great Britain if ordered from Jackson's is ridiculous and kind of makes me seek out alternatives.
