Based on the photos, I was sort of hoping I'd be able to wear these shorts in a semi-fashionable way. Like, I'd pair them with a nice blouse to go out. But they are less fashionable than expected. The fabric is not at all soft. It's quite stiff. The length is fine. I am bummed that the back pockets are so small as to be useless. A phone would immediately fall out. The pockets on the legs are useful, but it's a shame they close with a button, rather than velcro, which would have made these shorts that much more practical for hiking, which is how I plan to use them. I did size up and am glad I did. Overall, they are fine, but not as hip as I'd wanted.

These are great shorts for camping and trekking. Good quality cotton, sturdy but attractive, classic looks. The fit is close without being too tight, and loose through the leg. They allow for great freedom of movement. I am only 5 ft tall, and even on me, they are not really knee-length. They fit and look pretty much just like the picture. The cargo pockets will hold my iPone ProMax. That's my "gold standard" for pockets, lol. I weigh 108lbs and I got the small in Khaki. Recommended!

These shorts look great online and when I got them, I was a little nervous about what they looked like in person. Once I wore them, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked them better than I thought I would. They're a great length and fit really well. (5'2", 190lbs, size XL) They're also made well so they're going to hold up in the washer and dryer just fine. The fabric is soft and lightweight so they'll be comfortable in the summer.

I was so excited to order these. Cotton long-ish-leg shorts? I'm in. And they're a good color, too.But, as I opened the vacuum-sealed bag, I noticed a weird beige thing at the bottom. To be honest, it looked like a broken piece of cookie. I dug it out and discovered it was part of a button. I looked more closely at the shorts and -- yep -- one of the pocket buttons was broken. I went to take a closer look at it and the entire button crumbled in my hand. How weird is that? I immediately checked all the other buttons and they seem fine. And, to be fair, the shorts do come with a spare button. Never expected to have to sew it on so soon, though.The other thing I don't like about these shorts is how they look on. I know that they're cargo shorts so I didn't have amazingly high expectations of style. But boy, are these boxy. Very straight, very boxy. The pictures in the ad above make them look much cuter than they are.But, they are cotton, so I'll probably wear them in hot weather when I don't care how I look.
